Welcome to Home-Worker

Home-Worker is an on-line forum for people who work from home.

Working from home is a fast-growing way of life and has many advantages – for individuals and the environment. However, it can become an isolated existence and it’s easy to lose touch with the social and professional interactions we may have been used to when going to a place of work.

This web site is dedicated to people who work from home either as part of their employment  or as part of their own business.  The web site aims to provide free information and links to other sources of information that may be useful.

Another aspect of our purpose is to lobby politicians and Government Deppartments to defend the rights and privileges of home-workers.  There are many advantages to working from home and, unfortunately, several barriers in the way that have been clumsily erected or ignored by those we elect to represent us.

Please feel free to browse or join our forum.  From time to time we will put on some local events.  Please be aware that we are not an organisation as such and have no membership fees or funds.  This is simply a forum created by some people who are concerned for the plight of those who work from home.

Thank you for looking in.  Home-Worker is sponsored by computalocal, local IT support in the Buckingham area.  Artwork provided by aitchem design consultants.  Last updated March 2008.
